This time, it’s with the forthcoming release of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “UNC Toe”.
The official images of the eagerly anticipated “UNC Toe” have recently been unveiled by Nike, highlighting its striking design. If you’re a fan of the Tar Heels or just a sneakerhead looking for the next big release, mark your calendars for July 22, 2023. This new rendition of the iconic Air Jordan 1 is set to be available in full family sizes through Nike SNKRS and selected Jordan retailers worldwide.
The “UNC Toe” follows the reveal of the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “UNC” PE, with on-foot photos of the high OG variant now surfacing online. Although Jordan Brand has not yet provided official release details for the pair, it is widely expected to launch on July 8, 2023, at a price point of 190 EUR.
Sneaker enthusiasts will appreciate the design details of the “UNC Toe”, which is reminiscent of the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Obsidian” from 2019. The color-blocking is almost identical, but this latest edition distinguishes itself with “University Blue” toe boxes. The Tar Heel-inspired “University Blue” also accents the ankle flaps and lower heel overlays, while the quarter panels and midsoles are adorned in white. Contrasting solid black elements include the Swooshes, laces, tongues, ball-and-wings logos, and forefoot overlays, giving the shoe a unique aesthetic1.
